China Membership Fees
Concessionary rates are only available to MCIOB and FCIOB members.
Subscription fee freeze
CIOB has also confirmed there will be no increase in fees for individual chartered members (those holding MCIOB or FCIOB post-nominals) or company members for 2022. This is the second year in a row that subscription fees for those categories of membership have been frozen.
CIOB has been working closely with members throughout the Coronavirus pandemic to ensure support available to all members during this difficult time.

Thinking of retiring in 2022?
We offer a reduced rate for Associate, Incorporate and Chartered members who have retired. For more information about concessionary rates login to our members portal (top right) and click on 'membership'. Please note you can only apply for this once you are retired.
Chartered Membership is our most popular membership grade and it brings with it many benefits, including the right to use MCIOB as a post-nominal designation. Chartered Members also recieve access to over 500 events every year, free CPD resources from the Academy, and access to our Library Information Service.
The Fellowship Grade is the highest award offered by CIOB. Fellows are amongst the most experienced and knowledgeable professionals in the industry and the highly sought after post-nominal designation, FCIOB, is proof of this. Fellowship also brings benefits such as career progression, promotion, higher salaries and a wider range of job opportunities.
Student membership is an entry point to membership for those studying with the CIOB or in education. This grade does not provide any entitlement to post-nominals or designations; however, by progressing through the most appropriate pathway to membership, you can gain your Chartered Membership and enjoy all the benefits that come with being MCIOB.
The non-chartered grade of Applicant is for those who do not hold an existing ACIOB/ICIOB membership and wish to become Chartered. You must meet the eligibility requirements and be admitted to this grade to undertake your next steps to becoming Chartered. The Applicant grade does not provide any entitlement to post-nominals or designations; however, by progressing through the most appropriate pathway to membership, you can gain your Chartered Membership and enjoy all the benefits that come with being MCIOB.
When you move grades (for example, on achieving MCIOB), you will be required to pay the difference between membership subscription fees; this is called a "subscription adjustment".
